Lisson Gallery
Nicholas Logsdail, the owner of Lisson Gallery, was probably the most important dealer in the UK throughout the 80s and 90s.

The gallery was the epicentre of the New British Sculpture movement which included Tony Cragg, Anish Kapoor and Richard Wentworth. It has continued its success into the 90s and has been shortlisted nine times for the Turner Prize during the period from 1984 to 1999, winning four times. The gallery was opened in 1967, and has since then expanded, moving into its current premises designed by Tony Fretton in Marylebone London. Now the gallery is known not only for the artists it has grown up with who have become major international stars but a number of younger names. Despite this getting a free drink out them at an opening is still a daunting task.
